Ship Description

Named after the famous Russian author Leo Tolstoy, the ms Tolstoy is one of the most luxurious and comfortable cruise ship ever built for the Russian Rivers. Constructed for high ranking Kremlin officials the ship was built in Austria to the highest standards. After undergoing extensive renovations in 2006 she is still one of the top ships in Russia, with luxurious elegant decor, large well appointed staterooms and elegant public areas with large circular staircases connecting the decks.

On board the MS Tolstoy you will enjoy the luxury of 20% more space in standard staterooms than on most other cruise ships in Russia. Large picture windows that open, ample closet space and a make up table. Staterooms have a seperate shower which is unique in Russia. Deluxe staterooms at 220 sf are twice the size of standard rooms and have two beds that can be put together as well as a sitting area. Suites measure 330sf and feature three picture windows, a dayroom with TV, refrigerator and a separate bedroom. Public areas include the Kostroma Lounge, the Pushkin Library and the Tchaikowsky Hall for concerts and lectures.

View the passing scenery from the Sun deck or smaller Patio Deck while lounging in one of the deck chairs, enjoy the sauna or a drink at the poolside Neva Bar.

Your dining experience in the Tolstoy's Katrina Restaurant includes a delightful breakfast buffet, a satisfying lunch and gourmet dinner , all presenting the best in regional Russian cuisine. All the while enjoy the panoramic view through the large picture windows during each meal.

Language on board is English and the cruise is a smoke free environment with the exception of the Sun deck. There is a doctor on board
