As part of the "Grand Value Cruising" brand of Uniworld,the gracious River Ambassador entered service in 1996 but was completely refurbished for service in 2006, to offer the hallmark amenities of Uniworld. A marble lobby, spacious, window-lined Main Lounge, bars and reading room are all finely appointed and comfortable. The Main Lounge's extra-large picture windows with cozy leather sofas and easy chairs makes it the perfect place to enjoy the ever-changing scenery. The centrally located bar area features a pub-style atmosphere where you can quench your thirst after a day of exploring. And the separate reading area is a peaceful place to sit and savor a quiet moment. Take your choice of working out in the fitness center, or relaxing with a good book on the always-picturesque Sun Deck. The ship's restaurant features a single seating at tables set with elegant linens, china and crystal. Large windows mean you won't miss a moment of the breathtaking sights as you wine and dine.

Grand Value Cruising is Uniworld's new brand available on two ships, the River Ambassador and River Baroness. It consists of 9 day cruises on the Danube, Holland and Rhine and Moselle. The brand distinguishes itself from the "Grand River Cruise" brand by being designed for those preferring a “do what you want, when you want” vacation. With fewer included excursions than on the Grand River Cruise itineraries (yet with plenty of optional tours from which to choose), Uniworld is able to offer these nine-day itineraries at a tremendous value.
